DEEP DIVE
The Relational Database in the Age of AI

I have written for as long as this newsletter has been in existence is that your standard SQL database is not the only player in town any more. There are too many vendors and database types now for me to mention to have a cogent, little section here and keep it concise. I may have to write a book about it…

I was thinking last week, what role does the modern SQL relational database play now, and into the future. I did a little research of course. My findings were surprisingly encouraging. The demise of your classic relational database is not in the offing anytime soon. In fact, from what I have found is that it has a very long way to go to be supplanted by any other type of database.

Don’t believe me? Read my research here in this nifty blog post.

Happy Canada Day tomorrow to all my folks with their elbows up!
